Creation
In the
beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He did that on
the 1st day. He also created light on the 1st day. On the 2nd day God
created an atmosphere. On the 3rd day He separated land and water and
created vegetation.
God created everything fully mature. The trees He created on the 3rd
day were fully grown trees. On the 4th day He created the sun and moon
to govern the day and night. He created all the stars with their light
rays already reaching earth so they could be observed by man for signs,
seasons, days, and years. The fish and birds He created on the 5th day
were adult specimens. On
the 6th day he created all land animals, fully formed. These included
wolves, lions, deer, reptiles, cattle, and dinosaurs. Man was the crown
of God’s creation, because He created man in His likeness and image.
God created man as male and female, fully-formed adults. They looked as
if they were 25, but really they were only minutes old on the 6th day.
All these days were literal, 24-hour days.
God rested on the 7th day from all His work. So He blessed the 7th day.
He had created the “week” of seven days, by which we live, even today.
It was an exceedingly good world. There were no fossils, no death, no
decay, no sedimentary strata all over the earth. It was a very good
world because God is a good God.
