Explanation of PreWrath Rapture

An Explanation of Alan Kurschner's Time-Line of the "PreWrath Rapture"

Part THREE: The Seven Bowls of Wrath and Armageddon
Items 24-31

The Parousia of Christ (Green Section), Continued (Items 11-31)

Item 24. First Bowl. Rev. 16:1-2

a. Pop-Up Title. "First Bowl"

b. Scripture Given. Only Rev. 16:1-2

c. Title at the bottom of the Time-Line: "Reclamation 30 Days."This is the same time-designation as the one given for Item 22 to Item 31. It is doubtful that all these ten items will occur in a mere 30 days. See further comments at Item 22, letter c. According to Kurschner, this Seventh Trumpet is blown right towards end of the 7th Year of the last "week" of Daniel's revelation of 70 Weeks (of years).

d. Summary of Rev. 16:1-2: Loathsome, Malignant Sores. (1) A loud voice from the temple in heaven instructed the 7 Angels to prepare to pour out Seven Bowls of the Wrath of God upon the earth below (Rev. 16:1). (2) The First Angel poured out his bowl on the earth. It became a loathsome, malignant sore on the people who had the Mark of the Beast and worshiped his image. (3) It should become obvious fairly quickly that only those who had taken the Mark of the Beast and had worshiped his image suffered from this painful and hideous affliction. (4) That would mean, further, that anyone who did not have this disease was also quickly identifiable as an enemy of the State. That would almost guarantee that those who did not have the sore would be pursued, detained, and killed.

f. A
ccording to Kurschner, the First Bowl takes place during the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section. This is not plausible because Christ's coming is nowhere said to occur anywhere in Rev. 6:1-19:10, during any portion of the Tribulation. In fact, in the Book of Revelation He does not return to earth until the END of the Tribulation, Rev. 19:11-21. Moreover, the parousia of Christ in the NT is an event, not a period of time. See the lexical occurrences of parousia (3952). See the present author's Glossary entry, Parousia. See the present author's Word-Study on Parousia.

Item 25. Second Bowl. Rev. 16:3

a. Pop-Up Title. "Second Bowl"

b. Scripture Given: Only Rev. 16:3

c. Title given at the bottom of the Time-Line: "Reclamation 30 Days." This is title is given to 10 consecutive items: Item 22 to Item 31. For a discussion of Kurschner's probable use of this title see Paragraph c. at Item 22. For a discussion as to why it is improbable that all these ten items occur in the last 30 days of the Tribulation, see Paragraph c. at Item 22.

d. Summary of Rev. 16:3: Sea becomes Blood. (1) Quotation: "The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living thing in the sea died." (2) As in the Second Bowl, very little is stated. (3) According to Constable, "This may involve actual coagulated, rotting blood ...." (4) I would think this would greatly hinder sea travel. (5) Any hope of gaining a livelihood from the sea through fishing would vanish. (6) Earth-dwellers will not be able to pin this event on anything done by man. They will know it was a deliberate "Act of God," and they will undoubtedly curse Him to His face.

e.
According to Kurschner, the Second Bowl takes place during the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section.

Item 26. Third Bowl. Rev. 16:4-7

a. Pop-Up Title. "Third Bowl"

b. Scripture Given. Rev. 16:3-7.

16:3-7. Fresh Water becomes Blood. (1) Kurschner undoubtedly includes Rev. 16:3 in his quotation of Rev. 16:4-7 to provide a context for Rev. 16:4-7. In Rev. 16:3 the Second Angel poured out his bowl upon the sea, and it became blood and killed all sea life. In Rev. 16:4 the Third Angel poured out his bowl upon the rivers and the springs of water on land, and they all become blood as well. Both plagues affect all water everywhere upon the earth. (2) John heard the angel of the waters ascribing righteousness to Eternal God because He had judged these things. He continued, "they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. They deserve it" (Rev. 16:5-6). (3) The altar up in heaven chimed in, "Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments" (Rev. 16:7). (4) In the world of theater, we call this "Poetic Justice." (5) One can only imagine people dying of thirst rather than drinking this bloody liquid. (6) Once again, "Earth-dwellers" will realize this is the hand of God, and they will curse Him to His face, though the text does not explicitly say so.

e.
According to Kurschner, the Third Bowl takes place during the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section.

Item 27. Fourth Bowl. Rev. 16:8-9

a. Pop-Up Title: "Fourth Bowl."

b. Scripture Given: Only Rev. 16:8-9

c. Title at the Bottom of the Time-Line: "Reclamation 30 Days." This is title is given to 10 consecutive items: Item 22 to Item 31. For a discussion of Kurschner's probable use of this title see Paragraph c. at Item 22. For a discussion as to why it is improbable that all these ten items occur in the last 30 days of the Tribulation, see Paragraph c. at Item 22.

d. Discussion of Rev. 16:8-9. Scorching Sun. (1) The Fourth Angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was give to it to scorch men with fire (Rev. 16:8). (2) Men were scorched with heat (Rev. 16:9). (3) They blasphemed the name of God, who has the power over these plagues (Rev. 16:9). (4) They did not repent of their evil to give God the glory due Him (Rev. 16:9). It becomes exceedingly clear to people on earth that their lie about "Man-Made Global Warming" is just that -- a lie. They know that this is God-caused Global Warming. Instead of repenting of their evil, they curse God. Their judgment is just. Undoubtedly many people on the earth will die of heatstroke. This plague will be especially deadly since, just before this, the earth's fresh water supply will have been turned into blood (Rev. 16:4-7).

e.
According to Kurschner, the Fourth Bowl takes place during the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section.

Item 28. Fifth Bowl. Rev. 16:10-11

a. Pop-Up Title: "Fifth Bowl"

b. Scripture Given: Rev. 16:10-11 only

16:10-11. Painful Darkness. (1) The Fifth Angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the Beast (Rev 16:10). (2) His kingdom became darkened (Rev. 16:10). (3) People gnawed their tongues because of the pain  caused by the darkness (Rev. 16:10).  (4) These people blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores (Rev. 16:11). (5) They did not repent of their sins (Rev. 16:11). (6) This plague seems to be selective. It afflicts only those who are part of the kingdom of the Beast. (7) The great pain the "Earth-Dwellers" experience does not motivate them to repent of their evil deeds. (8) To them, the pain of following God and the True Messiah, Jesus Christ, is greater than the pain of following the Beast and his Kingdom. (9) How delusional are these people?

e.
According to Kurschner, the Fifth Bowl takes place during the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section.

Item 29. Sixth Bowl. Rev. 16:12-16

a. Pop-Up Title: "Sixth Bowl"

b. Scripture Given: Rev. 16:12-16 only

16:12-16. Preparation for Armageddon. (1) The Sixth Angel poured out his bowl on the Euphrates River (Rev. 16:12). (2) The water flow dried up, preparing the way for the arrival of the kings of the east (Rev. 16:12). (3) John saw 3 unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouths of the Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet (Rev. 16:13). (4) These are spirits of demons. They have the power to perform miraculous signs. They persuade the kings of the world to gather together for the war of the great day of God Almighty (Rev. 16:14). (5) They gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon (Armageddon) (Rev. 16:16).

e. According to Kurschner, the Sixth Bowl takes place during the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section.

Item 30. Seventh Bowl. Rev. 16:17-21

a. Pop-Up Title, "Seventh Bowl."

b. Scripture Given: Rev. 16:17-21 only

16:17-21: Earthquake and Hail. (1) The Seventh Angel poured out his bowl into the air (Rev. 16:17). (2) A loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, "It is done" (Rev. 16:17). (3) There was lightning, thunder, and a record-setting earthquake (Rev. 16:18). (4) The great city of Jerusalem was split into three parts. Cities of the nations fell (Rev. 16:19). (5) God remembered Babylon the great, and He gave her the cup of wine of His fierce wrath (Rev. 16:19). (6) Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found (Rev. 16:20). (7) 100-pound hailstones fell from heaven upon men. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, which was exceedingly great (Rev. 16:21).

e. According to Kurschner, the Seventh Bowl takes place during the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section.

Item 31. Armageddon. Rev. 19:11-21

a. Pop-Up Title: Armageddon

b. Scripture Given: Rev. 19:11-21 only

c. Title at the Bottom of the Time-Line: "Reclamation 30 Days." This is the last appearance of this title. This is title is given to 10 consecutive items: Item 22 to Item 31. For a discussion of Kurschner's probable use of this title see Paragraph c. at Item 22. For a discussion as to why it is improbable that all these ten items occur in the last 30 days of the Tribulation, see Paragraph c. at Item 22.

d. Discussion of Rev. 19:11-21. The Second Coming of Christ. (1) While Christ's return concludes the War of Armageddon, in reality it has been going on for some time. (2) The main event described in Rev. 19:11-21 is not Armageddon, but the Return of Christ to Judge the Earth, rid it of all evil and evil people, and set up His 1000-Year Kingdom, described in Rev. 20:1-6. To call this stupendous event "Armageddon," in my judgment, trivializes it. The word appears nowhere in this passage. See the Glossary Entry on Armageddon for a more Biblical perspective. (3) A white horse appeared in heaven. The One who sat on it is called "Faithful" and "True." In righteousness He judges and wages war (Rev. 19:11). (4) He has flaming eyes and wears many diadems. An unknowable name is written on Him (Rev. 19:12). (5) His robe is dipped in blood. This is the blood of His enemies, not His own (Isa. 63:1-6). He is called "The Word of God" (Rev. 19:13). (6) Armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses (Rev. 19:14). I personally believe this brilliant, heavenly entourage descending with Christ will light up the sky, and will constitute "the sign of the Son of Man" (Matt. 24:30), on account of which the people of the earth will mourn in terror (Rev. 1:7). (7) From His mouth comes a sharp sword (Rev. 19:15). He will merely speak a command, and destroy enemy nations opposing Him in battle (Rev. 19:21). He will rule the nations with a rod of iron, and He will tread the wine press of the fierce wrath of God Almighty (Rev. 19:15). (8) On His robe  and on His thigh His name is written, "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" (Rev. 19:16). (9) An angel stood in the sun and issued a cry to all the birds which fly in midheaven to come eat the flesh of all the enemy participants and horses in the upcoming slaughter (Rev. 19:17-18). (10) "And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army." (11) The Beast and False Prophet were seized and thrown alive into the Lake of Fire (Rev. 19:20). (12) The enemy combatants were killed at the command of Christ. All the birds were filled with their flesh (Rev. 19:21).

e.
The Item Kurschner labeled "Armageddon" is mislabeled, in my judgment. It should be labeled "Second Coming of Christ." Furthermore, the Title at the Bottom of the Time-Line, "Reclamation 30 Days" is incorrect. That takes place, I believe, AFTER the Second Coming of Christ. Rev. 19:11-21 is the ONLY item that should be labeled the "Parousia of Christ," marked by the Green Colored Section.
