seven which are an abomination to Him:"

"The Eye of God." What Offends God? We Are Easily Offended
We live in a generation easily offended.
For example, our federal and many state laws expressly forbid "hate
crimes." It is not bad enough that someone committed a crime against
someone. If we can tap into his motive and convict him of a hate crime,
that is REALLY bad. And we can punish him or her accordingly. What can
we learn from the website of the U. S. Department of Justice?
Hate Crimes
"The term 'hate' can be misleading. When used in a hate crime law, the word 'hate' does not mean rage, anger, or general dislike. In this context 'hate' means bias against people or groups with specific characteristics that are defined by the law." "At the federal level, hate crime laws include crimes committed on the basis of the victim's perceived or actual race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or disability." "Most state hate crime laws include crimes committed on the basis of race, color, and religion; many also include crimes committed on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and disability." Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Another example is the practice of mandating government and business policies of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The Democratic Party is famous for its Identity Politics. It delights in compartmentalizing as many groups of people as "victims" as possible. Then it positions itself as being the savior of those "victims" and Republicans as being enemies of those "victims." Thus, when presidential candidate Joe Biden picked a running mate, he chose Kamala Harris not, apparently, because of her abilities as a candidate (she dropped out of the running for President early on because she had so view votes in the primary.) Rather he appeared to choose her because she was a woman and (perceived to be) black. Later, President Biden announced ahead of time that the Supreme Court Justice he would select would be a woman, and she would be black. He immediately eliminated from his purview over three quarters of potential candidates who might have been better qualified. He would not pick any candidates who were male or who were not black. This is not a system based on merit but based on quotas to ameliorate "victimhood." Read A Biblical Evaluation of DEI: We shouldn't try to reconcile Christianity and Marxism by Harry F. Sanders, III, published December 12, 2023. What Offends God?
Have you ever heard of anyone ask, "What offends God?" Wouldn't our society be far better off asking, "What offends God?" and then staying far away from the things that offend God? Wouldn't that be far better than trying to maintain a quota system for the sake of "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion"? Let us begin here: "There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers" (Prov. 6:16-19). Who Are the Unrighteous Who Will
Not Inherit the Kingdom of God?
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." (1 Cor. 6:9-11) What is the Destiny of Unbelievers?
"But
for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and
immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part
will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the
second death." (Rev. 20:8)
A Closing Message from the Book of
Revelation
And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy." "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." "Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying." "I, Jesus, have sent My messenger to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and descendant of David, the bright morning star." "The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come.' And let the one who hears say, 'Come.' And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost." I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book." "He who testifies these things says, 'Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. (Rev. 21:10-21) Posted August 4 2024
